WELCOME TO THE WEB DESIGN + BRANDING BLOG FROM ARTISAN KIND
I’ve been a Flodesk user for most of my business life, and for good reason. And I will admit, I’ve wandered a few times out of curiosity only to come right back. Even business owners get a little shiny object syndrome. Every now and then I wondered what else might be out there. Not because Flodesk wasn’t wonderful (it really is)l, but simply because I was curious.
So I tried a few other email tools and most of them felt unnecessarily complicated. Some were so slow to load (and truly, who has time for that), others were confusing to navigate even for someone who is fairly techy, and many had tiny quirks that made writing a simple email feel far harder than it needed to be. Each time I returned to Flodesk, I wondered why I ever strayed.
Flodesk and I have been going steady for years now. I’ve dabbled in enough other platforms to confidently say Flodesk is the one. It remains the platform I use for all of my email marketing and the one I wholeheartedly recommend to clients who want something simple, beautiful, and genuinely easy to use.
Before we go any further, a quick note of transparency. I am a Flodesk Partner, which means I may earn a commission if you choose to use my link. I only recommend tools I truly use and love. I was recommending Flodesk long before I ever became a partner, and I would continue to recommend it even if there were no partner program at all.

There is something grounding about using a tool that works the way your brain expects it to. It is the kind of platform you don’t dread opening. You can get in, do what you need to do, and move on with your day. No clutter, no overwhelm.
One thing Flodesk has always done beautifully is design. The templates feel modern and spacious, and customizing them to match your brand is truly simple.
Sometimes the most supportive tools are the ones that quietly get out of your way.
You don’t need to be a designer to make things look beautiful in Flodesk. Choose a template, drop in your photos, add your brand colors, and begin writing. There is no wrestling with formatting, cluttered dashboards, or a long learning curve. For my clients who value ease and aesthetics, this makes all the difference.
Plus, if you want to get fancy, it’s easy to drop extra elements into any email (like the countdown timer).
In Flodesk, you can send weekly emails, create forms to deliver freebies, set up automations (your set-it-and-forget-it sequences), and even collect payments through Flodesk Checkout. Compared to other platforms I have used, it is all so refreshingly simple.
The new account-switching feature is such a gift. This update might be one of my favorites. As someone who occasionally helps clients with sending emails, switching between accounts without passwords feels seamless and secure. It removes friction for both of us and makes everything feel lighter.
For you, this means you can give team members access to exactly what they need, no more and no less.
If you sell digital products, workshops, coaching sessions, or even physical products, this is a meaningful upgrade. We used to have to come up with workaround solutions to offer payment plans. Now Flodesk integrates with Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay.
Offering payment plans makes your work more accessible and creates steadier income for your business. I have been waiting for this feature for years, and it has been worth the wait.
We are all used to being the ones paying for subscriptions in our businesses, but Flodesk has opened the door for us to offer them too. This is such a thoughtful addition for business owners who want recurring, sustainable revenue without a complicated tech stack.
A few ways you might use subscriptions: a monthly membership, a resource library, a private podcast, weekly coaching check-ins, or a seasonal workshop series. Instead of stitching together multiple platforms, you can keep everything inside Flodesk Checkout and make it easy for someone to sign up, pay automatically each month, and stay connected to your work.
Instead of paying one flat rate, you can now choose between Flodesk Email and Flodesk Email + Checkout. And you pay based on your subscriber count, which makes starting an email list far more accessible for new and growing businesses. It is a simple, spacious approach that supports you right where you are. And these plans are so generous. You can have up to 25,000 subscribers on the lowest-priced plan.
I will be the first to admit I do not use every tool Flodesk offers, but the expanded integrations are impressive. Flodesk now connects with ManyChat, Canva, Thrivecart, Zapier, and more. This means your automations, workflows, and sales tools communicate more smoothly behind the scenes. If you already use tools like these, Flodesk works beautifully alongside them.
Flodesk is the best email marketing platform I’ve found for creatives, coaches, wellness providers, and basically any service provider or anyone who values simplicity, beauty, and ease. It helps you show up consistently, supports a cohesive brand experience across touch points, and removes the friction that keeps so many entrepreneurs from emailing at all.
If you feel curious about simplifying your email marketing, you can start a free trial or receive 25% off your first year with a paid plan using my partner code ArtisanKind at checkout.
Pro tip: One of my favorite ways to explore a new platform is to create a free account and give myself an hour or two to experiment. If I log in and things feel intuitive, if I make a little bit of progress quickly, if my shoulders drop a little, that is usually a sign the tool works with the way my brain works. If two hours pass and I am still really confused, frustrated, or ready in tears, I move on.
Trust me though, Flodesk will not have you in tears (well, maybe happy ones).
Email marketing does not have to feel overwhelming. The right tool creates breathing room, space to write, space to connect, and space to share your work in a way that feels grounded and true to you.
Flodesk has done that for me, and I imagine it will do the same for you.
I cannot wait to see what you create with it.
